We continue our series on the stages of plywood production.
Stage 5. Veneer sorting
After drying, the veneer is sorted. At this stage, sheets are assessed for knots, cracks and other wood defects.
The sorting results determine whether the veneer will be used in the outer or inner layers of the plywood.
Each layer has its own requirements. Meeting them is essential to the appearance and strength of the finished product.
The next production stage is gluing and pressing. 🏭
